MY EDIBLE GARDEN

Dengan melihat tanaman yang membesar …..adalah satu terapi yang berkesan untuk orang yang sakit. Walaupun rasa tak upaya…rasa tak bertenaga untuk berkebun….tapi kita akan berusaha memastikan tanaman kita hidup subur. Menyiram, membaja dan membersihkan tanaman membuatkan kita berpeluh. Itulah yang menjadikan kita sihat kembali……jom ke Edible Garden saya…….semuanya saya tanam didalam polibag bekas tanaman cili. Polibag ini tahan dua tahun cuma tambahkan tanahnya.

Calamansi (limau kasturi)
….sedang berbuah dengan lebatnya (Cuma ini tanam dalam pasu)

Mint (pudina)
…..baru dibersihkan rumput yang tumbuh meliar didalam polibag.

Cekur
…sejenis ramuan dalam masakkan orang Jawa

Kesum
….not growing well….may be tak cukup baja

Kunyit Kampung
…baru nak tumbuh (isinya kecil sahaja, tidak maung, susah didapati sesuai untuk buat ubat)

Halia
...saya pernah berjumpa seorang ahli persatuan peniaga wanita yang mengamalkan makan halia. beliau mempunyai 7 orang anak dan yang sulong berada di universiti luar negara.kata beliau untuk mendapatkan badan yang ramping walaupun sudah beranak hendaklah mengamalkan makan halia dengan mencampurkan halia disetiap masakan kita termasuk bubur yang manis....tak taulah sama ada benar atau tidak..........

ZAQUA LAYERED CAKE

ASSALAMMULAIKUM to all viewers……its a nice day today ….sunny n windy day…far from the hassle of city centre.. here, the environment is quiet and peaceful…there is a small lake (if u can call it so...) infront of my house, everyday there will always be people who come n fish here….terutama pak pak indon... species like lampan, talapia, haruan, ketutu and udang can be found here, sometimes they even use pukat and jala to catch the fish.

But it will be different when heavy rain comes, the lake changes its colour and rubbish appear ...because the lake is linked to small stream that flows to the sea... I guess. Then next day the majlis workers will come and clean up those rubbish….

Yesterday was my baking day….with full of love…ya…bake with lots of love….I started with my 1st layered cake: ZAQUA CHOC LAYERED CAKE, 2nd MEDDI GREEN LAYERED CAKE, 3rd JAMILAA LAYERED CAKE n lastly YAM LAYERED CAKE.

ZAQUA CHOC LAYERED CAKE
Layered with choc n white chips, milk and choc paste



MEDDI GREEN LAYERED CAKE
Paste pandan, milk n santan powder



JAMILAA LAYERED CAKE
Orange paste n lemon paste, its nice n taste lovely

Dayang, minta izin untuk letak recipe from your book “ASAS KEK LAPIS” Dayang Kek Sarawak.
YAM LAYERED CAKE

Ingredients
450 gm butter
10 eggs A
180 gm castor sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
10 gm ovalette
375 gm condensed milk
160 gm hong kong flour
4 tsp yam paste
1 tsp yellow colouring


METHOD
In large electric mixer bowl, cream butter till light n fluffy, add in vanilla.
then add in sugar n ovalette, beat again.
Add in eggs one at a time, beat till combined.
Put in condensed milk and lastly hong kong flour… blend well. Divide the mixture into 2 , mix one with yellow colouring n the other one with yam paste.
Take 4 table spoons put inside the baking tray. Bake alternate colour….happy baking….

AYAM KAMPONG SALAI

Today I’m soooo….. busy from Jenjarom…. I went to Kampong Baru….. then to Bake with Yen at Jalan Hj Taib…hu hu hu… I can’t get what I wanted to find…so sad. Reached Ampang my other home at 3 pm…so lapar…. I didn’t take any food frm morning till now. Here’s what I‘ve cooked for the day “ayam kampong salai masak sos tiram”….tapi kan kalau masak lemak cili padi lagi sodap kan….campur pulak belimbing buluh….hai….. U can get ayam kampong salai from me…..




AYAM KAMPONG SALAI

Ayam dibersihkan dan dipotong ikut suka, diperap dengan kunyit dan garam---goreng
Bawang besar, bawang putih dan halia—dikupas , cuci dan dihiris halus
Sos tiram, sos tomato, sos cili, garam, gula, serbuk jintan manis dan rempah tumis---agak2 aja
Sedikit Heinz mustard---optional but it tastes nice
Panaskan kuali bubuh sedikit minyak, tumis bahan2 hiris hingga wangi. campurkan rempah tumis dan serbuk jintan manis. Kemudian masukkan sos2 tadi, gaul rata baru masukkan ayam dan sedikit air. Rasakan masin,manis dan masamnya, bubuh kacang peas dalam tin dan cili padi .setelah pekat angkat hias ikut suka….selamat mencuba.

Masakan Paling Simple


DAGING GORENG CILI BERKICAP

300gm daging – dipotong kecil2 dibasuh, digaul dgn kunyit dn halia yg ditumbuk halus
1 butir bawang*
1 ruas jari halia*
2 ulas bawang putih*
Semua yg bertanda * dihiris
Sedikit cili giling
Garam
Kicap
3 biji kentang- dikupas kulit, cuci, dipotong memanjang lalu digoreng garing

CARANYA:
Gunakan minyak menggoreng kentang tadi, tumis daging yang telah diperap terlebih dahulu dgn kunyit dn halia. Masak hingga air daging kering. Masukkan bahan hirisan kedalam daging tadi.
Gaul hingga berbau harum, masukkan cili giling. Kacau lagi sampai cili tadi nampak garing baru masukkan kicap dan air. Masak hingga empuk, boleh bubuh air asam atau tomato sos jika suka.
Setelah empuk daging rasalah apa yang kurang samaada masinnya, manisnya atau masamnya. Baru masukkan kentang tadi. Angkat. Hidangkan.

Musqa Layered Cake





Musqa Layered Cake, our family's favourite layered cake, especially my hubby. I first made this cake in the early 1980's. Its a very lovely cake, moist, nice and layered with raisins.

Welcome to Cute Oven

Alhamdulillah Cute Oven blogspot officially launched today, April 3, 2010.

Akhirnya dapat juga kita berblog…….everyday I travel around the virtual world visiting others blogs. The 1st blog that I visited was MAMAFAMI.FOTOPAGES long before she moved to BLOGSPOT. Then ZATIDHATI, at that time I was bed ridden cannot really move around. I’m happy when I saw their baking and cooking because I love food that I either baked or cooked myself. I missed my air tangan……for 8 years I practically did nothing.

Alhamdulillah, now I’m ok……..fully recovered …….I loved my life and I missed the world……With support from my young ladies and young men in my family, especially my hubby, I started my HOME BAKERY and start taking orders.
